Licensure and Approval

The Vocational Nursing Program has been reapproved by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) for the period of March 4, 2012 through March 3, 2016.

The Psychiatric Technician Program has been approved for the period November 1, 2011 through October 31, 2015.

This institution is also approved by the Bureau for Private Post Secondary Education (BPPE) to offer the Vocation Nursing, the Psychiatric Technician, the Nurse Assistant Certification Training, the Hemodialysis Technician, the Acute Care C.N.A. Training, and the Home Health Aide Training Programs through December 16, 2016 under institutional Approval #21739, School Code: 18431210.

The Nurse Assistant Training Program has been reapproved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Services until January 31, 2015, and the newly launched Hemodialysis Technician Program has also been approved by CDPH on May 7, 2012 under CHP-548.

American College of Nursing has also been:

  • Reapproved to offer the Home Health Aide Training Program by CDOH until January 31, 2015, HHP#726
  • Approved as a Continuing Education Provider by the Department of Public Health until July 31, 2013, Provider No: CEP 1730.
  • Approved as a Continuing Education Provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing until March 31, 2014, CEP 15963

American College of Nursing was also approved by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) for certification and enrollment in the Student and Exchange Information System (SEVIS) on April 30, 2009. This approval is valid for a vocational program for an M-1 student (non-immigrant student).
